It was highly anticipated, it is now official! Italian football clubs will finally find their way to collective training. The transalpine government gave the green light for a resumption of group sessions, but with a very strict health protocol to respect.
The teams will therefore be back next Monday, but the Italian Sports Ministry calls for caution.
“The indications of the Scientific Committee on the recovery protocol confirm the line of caution. They will be sent to the Federations for the safe resumption of collective training on May 18,” said in a joint press release from the Ministry of Sports and Health. While Italy, a country very affected by the Covid-19, is gradually fading, this is great news for football.
