NDAAttack: disgrace to Nigeria, says musician Daddy Showkey

John Asiemo, also known as Daddy Showkey, a veteran singer, has condemned the bandits’ attack on the Nigerian Defense Academy.

On Wednesday, Daddy Showkey posted a video to his Instagram page in which he described the attack as a “huge disgrace to the country.”

In the early hours of Tuesday, gunmen dressed in army uniform stormed the Nigerian Defence Academy in Afaka, Kaduna, killing two officers and kidnapping one.

Naija News 247 reports that the gunmen entered the NDA permanent site along Airport Road, Afaka, in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, around 1 a.m., through a broken fence, catching residents off guard.

The gunmen, who moved around the premises, apparently caught the officers on duty off guard because they were dressed in military uniform. Daddy Showkey condemned the attack, calling it a national shame and disgrace.

“It is a national shame and embarrassment for Nigeria. Our pride, the Nigeria Defense Academy, was attacked, and you still refer to these individuals as bandits. These aren’t bandits; they’re mercenaries on their way to take over Nigeria,” he explained.
