Moses Simon could drop from Eagles AFCON qualifiers?

by Naija News 247

PSG wrecker Moses Simon could be the next player to drop out of the Super Eagles AFCON qualifiers later this month.

Fellow France-based forward Samuel Kalu has already withdrawn from the Eagles squad after he injured his thigh in a Ligue 1 clash at the weekend.

He has been replaced by Henry Onyekuru of Galatsaray.

Winger Moses Simon, who delivered all three points for struggling FC Nantes at champions PSG at the weekend with a late winner, missed the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone in November due to injury.

Coronavirus travel restrictions, which will cause him to quarantine for at least seven days after travel outside of Europe, may force relegation-haunted FC Nantes not to release him for the qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.

FIFA will not sanction any club who do not release their players for international duty on health grounds.
