Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (46) is in an ejection seat at Manchester United. While the Red Devils struggle to regain the heights of the Premier League (MU is currently 5th in the English league with 34 points), the English press has been unanimous in recent days to say that the Norwegian technician is on the hot seat and that the next matches will be decisive for its future on the Old Trafford bench. Manchester United, however, seems to have a “made in England” idea in mind.
According to information from the Daily Mail , the Red Devils are considering dismissing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, under contract until June 2022, at the end of the season if the results do not improve and the targets set by the board at the start are not achieved.
The British daily said that Manchester United is considering the option Gareth Southgate, the coach of the Three Lions, for whom Ed Woodward, vice president of the club, has high regard.
This solution would however only be considered after Euro 2020 (June 12-July 12), where England will act as an outsider.
For this, however, it will be necessary to negotiate with the English federation, with which the 49-year-old British technician has a current contract until July 2022.
