Iyanya, Nigerian singer bags political appointment in Cross River

Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk has been appointed the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state.

His appointment was contained in a statement released by Cross River state government on September 1, 2021.

Iyanya rose to fame after winning the maiden edition of Project Fame West Africa in 2008.

He has some hit songs to his name like Kukere and Ur Waist.

In the press release by the Cross River state government, Iyanya’a appointment was confirmed alongside 13 others.

He joins music executive and former label boss, Ubi Franklin, who is a Special Adviser on Tourism to the Cross River governor.
